In order to maintain the safety of the library, the library has surveillance cams on the entrances and exits of the elevators on all floors and in the reading area. In addition, at the entrances of the toilets, surveillance cams and alarm bells are also installed, and all of them can be monitored at the central security guard room and the library counter. Once the emergency button is touched down, the library counter and the guard room will be notified immediately. The monitors will not only be able to see the scene through the screen, but also send people to deal with it in time.
Although the installation of surveillance equipment in the library can help with safety maintenance, evidence collection and deterrence, readers still need to pay attention to their own safety rules. The following matters are special attention by the library:
1. Make sure your personal belongings are safe. When you leave the seat, do not place your valuables such as bags, mobile phones, and laptops on your seat or table.
2. The toilets are equipped with emergency safety buttons. If you are unwell or find suspicious persons or items, you can press the button to call for help or report to the counter.
3. To avoid safety hazards, do not stay alone in the safety ladder or space corner where few people pass.
4. In accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law, when there is need to access the surveillance data, it must be accompanied by the relevant personnel of the Academic Affairs Office. Please inform the library counter or the Academic Affairs Office as soon as possible after the incident.
